Harry Dean Stanton

Harry Dean Stanton passed away last week. The man's filmography is ridiculously thick with classic movies and TV.  I remember seeing him first in Kelly's Heroes. Then after, ALIEN and from there on, spotted him in so many great shows and films. Repo Man, Paris, Texas.....Missouri Breaks (personal favorite movie) and on and on. He was 91 and has left quite a legacy, but still, this is a huge loss. I knocked out a few sketches before I decided on what I would do for his tribute portrait. One of the sketches and the final portrait are being added to my portfolio....

Anton Yelchin

I've just added to Gallery II, the Anton Yelchin tribute portrait. And how tragic, horrible and so sad to lose someone so talented and so young. Usually these tribute portraits are a cathartic means to accept these loses being experienced in 2016. But this one was hard to take. I, of course, didn't know the young man, but I still cried a bit as I was finishing up this portrait.
